Widelands build10rc released!

The promised release candidate for build10 has been released today. It is full of new features, but needs testing. So grab your version today from the sourceforge.net page and start playing right away.

A release candidate of build10 of Widelands, a Free, cross-platform strategy game has been released. The game is heavily inspired by Settlers II by !BlueByte. This release candidate is a preview to the upcomming release build-10, scheduled for release at the end of march.

This release candidate is thought as a public alpha test of the build-10 release, to squash the most annoying bugs.

Widelands uses SDL as graphics and input library and is currently available for Linux/x86, Mac OSX, Windows 32 and in Source Code.

There is a lot of enhancements in this version compared to build10. A whole new tribe, various new musics and sounds, new worlds and two new campaign missions. Also a lot of in game features were added and a few bugs fixed. We were not lazy.
