Widelands 1.1 First Snow Feature Freeze

…is now in place.

The First Snow Feature Freeze for the release of Widelands 1.1 has taken place on Sunday, the First of May 2022.

What does this mean?
From now on, no further features and bugfixes will be accepted except those that have been decided to be critical for the next release. No changes to translatable strings are desired, except for the two new scenarios that will be part of the release.
When all remaining critical bugs are fixed, we will wait another two weeks and then call the Winter Time Feature Freeze.

And what does that mean for you?
You have only a few more weeks to update the translations for Widelands 1.1. Head over to Transifex (instructions can be found in our wiki) and add the missing translations for your language!
And play the current development version as much as you can and report bugs. Widelands 1.1 should be a rock solid release like all the others before it. Let's make it so.

The v1.1 Screenshots Submission is now open.

Looks like all remaining issues will be fixed soon. How much time does this leave for translations? I know I've been slacking off with Along the River and atl02, but fri04 was only added a week ago. (and I have no hope of actually playing it before translating without a lot of cheating on fri03 face-sad.png )

I'm asking because I'll be away for the next 2 weeks, but I'd like to keep h. at 100% for this release too if I was able to do it last time.

Given the large number of recent regressions I want to allow a lot of time for further testing (and yes also for translating). I'm currently eyeballing a release date in late September. I want to watch and wait for another couple of weeks what manner of new bugs surface before stating an official timeline though.
