Coat of Arms: Barbarians

A first draft for the shield in the babarian coat of arms (is this translation correct?)

Axe and skull are coming after finishing the shield.

Just for understanding: Why do the Barbarians need a shield? They don't carry any and the ware "shield" doesn't exist.

Hey, fraang! Good to hear from you!

Nice looking shield. I like the separate planks over one solid piece of wood. So you're reworking the barbarian emblem?

This is the current emblem (for those who may not know) face-smile.png barb_logo

I look forward to seeing the rest of your version.

Cheers!

You are right, of course, to say the barbarians don't carry a shield, but they DO need an emblem to identify their tribes in the game. face-wink.png

Maybe you can think of it less as a shield and more a background for a crest or coat of arms. It's just that shields make such good backgrounds. face-grin.png

Ah, alright. I should have translated the term "coat of arms" before asking my question…

And thanks for showing the current one face-smile.png I didn't know it.

What do you think of an paninted symbol on the wooden part of the shield?

Sure! Use your imagination, just be certain to make it BARBARIC enough. face-grin.png

A point to consider is that the barbarians principle weapon is the axe. You may want to review the wares images for some ideas. Just a thought.

BTW - if you wish to display an image in these forum posts, the format is: "![image title](url of the image file)" without the quotes. face-wink.png
