it seems there are some community projects there as well providing 1.2 alreqdy while officially it is not yet updated.
So still the recommandation to try flatpak

Or the official appimage, if you don't already use flatpaks. flatpak's runtime takes up a lot of space unfortunately, so it's not worth it for a single program.

Well, there has been no new beta since 1.2 yet, in anticipation of v1.2-rc...
