Hi Widelands. I played the Empire campaign, and two days ago my computer got quite slow (10 Gb of Swap used) so I saved and quit.
Now when I load the savegame Widelands crashes.

Here's where it crashes : [00:00:21.912 real] INFO: Reading map images ...
[00:00:22.016 real] INFO: WidelandsMapLoader::load_map_complete() for 'Surprise, Surprise!' took 1174ms
[00:00:22.016 real] INFO: Game: Reading Player Economies Info ...

[00:00:22.023 real] INFO: Game: Reading Command Queue Data ...
[00:00:22.031 real] INFO: Game: Parsing messages ...
[00:00:22.033 real] INFO: Game: Reading Interactive Player Data ... /
Erreur de segmentation (core dumped)

I can load saves up to 2:30 gameplay time ("deal with Julia to get the technology") that was saved the day before but not the 2:45 autosave that was also saved the day before (so it may be unrelated to the problem I encountered the day after).

Thanks for reporting. It would be nice if you could provide the last working Savegame and the first not working savegame.

"Tampon" is the one that doesn't work.

Same problem when I want to load an even older save from the same scenario...

I forgot to mention that I use Widelands 1.1 on OpenSuse 15.

well I tested all of the provided savegames with widelands 1.2 and the current dev.
All of them loaded without any glitches, so I assume the underlying issue got solved in 1.2 (maybe an index issue in mapobjects, but can't tell exactly)

So the recommendation is to upgrade your game to 1.2

according to their website Widelands 1.2 is available for opensuse since approx. 4 months. Just for info

Oh ?

I've upgraded to 15.6 recently and I'm still at v1.1.

Maybe it's on the rolling release that they have v1.2. ?

you might be right. Another solution might be to try the flatpak we provide as this is available for all distros and quite up to date. (we even do provide betas from time to time)
