I don't know if this is intentional, but when I use my keyboard arrow keys to move the map in the game, the movement is "choppy"; the map moves in distinct steps with a pause between each step. When I use the arrow keys, any census or statistics text disappears before the move and reappears afterward. But turning off census/statistics doesn't make any difference. If I use the right mouse button or edge scrolling, the movement is smooth, and the census/statistics text remains visible throught. 'I'm using Version 1.0 (release), running under Windows 11 in full-screen mode. Video resolution is 1920x1080, Using a Dell GS 5590 laptop. Not running any add-ins. Does anyone else get this behavior? Rich Holton

Yes, I also get this. You can disable "animate automatic map movements" in the interface options to speed it up a bit and prevent the disappearing text, but it's still not smooth. I do think this should be improved.
