Whether a string is pluralized or not can be seen by whether the `[1]` / `[other]` buttons are there or not. If they're visible, it's a pluralized string which requires two forms; if they're not there, it's a "normal" string. By the way, you can also use the filter `Label` → `Pluralized` to show only pluralized or only non-pluralized strings. Top Quote

Whether Pluralform is needed for the sentence is decided by the coder / scripter by using a function named ngettext instead of pgettext. So for the translators the necessity for plural form is shown by the buttons discussed. the placeholders are no indication of this. Top Quote
