Maybe I'm just too blind to find it, but where in the statistics do I have to look for a list of ships?

I do not think that such a list exists, and I did not find a bug report on a quick search (but I think I read about that). I only found https://bugs.launchpad.net/widelands/+bug/963842 which is about naming ships - those names should be shown in the list. Feel free to open a bug report - I think such a list would be helpful.

Something has been bothering me ... and this is the nearest post I can find on the subject - in statistics you can see a total count for all of your wares and workers ... but not your ships. On a large map I haven't got a clue how many I have ... naming and identifying them isn't a deal breaker for me, but it would be good if a total count appeared in the stats windows.

This is what the WiP looks like:

The upper buttons are filter buttons, just like in the messages window:

  1. Idle
  2. Shipping
  3. Waiting
  4. Scouting
  5. Port Space Found
  6. Founding a Colony

The lower buttons are for accessing the ships:

  1. Open a watch window and follow
  2. Center map on ship and open ship window (this should help especially with multiple ships stacked on the same coordinates)
  3. Center Map on location

General ideas and contributions for prettier icons are welcome. Especially the idle icon bugs me.

This is great !!!! Especially the watch window is a very nice idea face-smile.png

For the Idle Icon: What about having a question mark over the ship? Or using the anchor in combination with a question mark (instead of the plus sign)?

Icon ideas:

  • Idle: Idle SE animation, Atlanteans
  • Shipping: Transporting NE animation, Atlanteans
  • Waiting: Leave as is
  • Port space: Lose the + at the anchor. It looks a bit flat just being black though - I never liked that icon anyway, because it's just black.
  • Founding a colony: Carrier or builder icon? Port?

The edge around the eye in the watch window icon also needs cleaning up.

A question to the status: Is "Founding a colony" only valid while the ship is unloading the goods for the new port, or is it also the valid status while the new port is being build?
