Topic: Language setup

I've installed packages from https://launchpad.net/~timo-wingender/+archive/ppa on my Ubuntu 12.04. After launching the game shows only English on lang list. Then I changed in console locale from en_US.UTF-8 to ru_RU.UTF-8 but it didn't help. Also I've tried to launch the game with --language-"ru" option; and specify this option in my ~/.widelands/config ; it doesn't help either. Anyone help? Thanks. Top Quote

The same broken package is also available directly from the ubuntu repo : http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise/games/widelands III. The good part ist, we currently ship build17 IV. The problem is, you cannot easily download build17 for ubuntu. The solution is easy, you need to convince widelands-dev to provide a build17 package... So people should widelands-dev provide build17? PS. https://code.launchpad.net/~widelands-dev/+archive/widelands-daily provides daily snapshots which should have working language support. Top Quote
