It would be nice if someone could create screenshots of atl02, because my savegames are unloadable. I think temple+priestess would be nice, and another with trader maybe with inventory showing coins.

Also for fri04, because I still haven't won fri03.

@Nordfriese Sorry, but why did you convert them to JPG for the screenshot page? The freedesktop documentation says that PNG is preferred, and that many packagers convert JPG to PNG. I can see that the site can handle it, because there were PNGs too before build 20.

Yesterday's pictures were even pngquanted (I admit it may not have been the best idea from me), so very bad for JPG. The above 2 new ones are not quanted though.

Unfortunately the website only supports JPG images for screenshots. Attempting to upload a PNG results in an Internal Server Error and enquiries from the webadmins what I broke face-wink.png

SirVer has fixed this issue. It should now be possible to upload PNG images.

Yes. I guess this must be converted because the thumbnail image is created from the image.

My proposal for appdata.xml:

  1. Main Menu
  2. Five Tribes 21
  3. Amazons (Soldiers Statistics)
  4. Atlanteans (High Res 1)
  5. Barbarians (Economy Options)2
  6. Empire (High Res 2)
  7. Frisians (Player Colours 2)

(this is alphabetical, but alternatively the tribes could be ordered as in the campaigns)

The main menu backgrounds should also be extended by at least one image with the Amazons. I'd also propose Five Tribes 1 if I can make the changes as of footnote 1. Ideally Frisians and Amazons should also get 2 more images each to make all tribes have 3. (plus there's one with the Empire and Atlanteans)


  1. Though I should give some variation to the landscape. @hessenfarmer: Do you think it would be possible to save the player infras with the script you use for missions then reload them after modifying the map (carefully to only replace arable with arable and water with water)? Could you please give some hints how to use the scripts for this? 

  2. Another idea for Barbarians is Info Panel
