Exakt dafür gibt es ja die Wirtschaftseinstellungen, die es einer gut funktionierenden Wirtschaft erlauben, stets einen Vorrat an allen benötigten Waren in Warenhäusern zu haben.

The zip of RC1 seems bugged. Only 128 MB big, not extractable...

Did you get it from the Launchpad download page or from the GitHub release announcement?

LP shows the same md5sum (2f741e8db9ed6e0f3d7223eb40bf2b86) for its version as my local copy (the one I used for uploading), which extracts fine (the zip is only 134.4 MB btw, compared to the 769,9 MB of each of the windows installers (sic!)). I did not upload a .tar.gz this time because the one I downloaded from GitHub was corrupt (which other users could not reproduce)…

Linux's Engrampa works fine, but I now noticed some files are missing. The unzip command fails though:

$ unzip widelands-1.0-rc1.zip
Archive:  widelands-1.0-rc1.zip
  End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not
  a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the
  latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on
  the last disk(s) of this archive.
unzip: cannot find zipfile directory in one of widelands-1.0-rc1.zip or
        widelands-1.0-rc1.zip.zip, and cannot find widelands-1.0-rc1.zip.ZIP, period.

Pretty much the same complaint as gzip raises about the .tar.gz. I'll remove the faulty zip upload and try to generate new ones. Looks like a problem with GitHub's archive generator.

Did someone test that the windows installer and the mac packages which are already up are working correctly?

Launchpad. This has the wrong size. The Github one has the correct size, but it could not be used neither

The launchpad zip is missing contents in data/templates/default. That's the reason for the small size. The github zip is ~790MB.

Edit: For me the github zip is usable. I was able to unpack it without problems.
