My internet presence (lol) has been dead for a while, but I'm back at it, and I have a new sketch (possibly finished):

http://alokinnollahwe.com/saturn/gamemusic/Widelands/sketches/

It is similar to 2 other songs I've done for the game (Renaissance Village, and Recorder2), and I like the style. I think I will change desert1's main instrument from panpipes (which are a bit cheesy) to recorders, and make it the fourth in the series.

Very nice new song. It will enrich widelands.

Thanks a lot for your great work!

Here is "desert1" (renamed "recorder4) with recorders as the main instrument:

I think it is much more in-line with the other similar pieces, and 4 similar songs makes a nice set. I will probably work on taking other pieces and adding similar ones to make more "sets."

Hi,

first of all i will say thanks for your great and continued work for widelands!

But even if the song is much more "in-line" with the other similar pieces, i personally liked the original one a bit more. Maybe if the melody would get an octave below?

Any other opinions?
