I think such a thread would be a nice idea. A thread where people could introduce oneself. For example one could tell how he/she is stumbled over Widelands... Fight simulator for Widelands:

G'day helach, if you are interested in carrying your day job onto widelands you might be interested in the translation project at https://www.transifex.com/widelands/widelands/dashboard/ New players are advised to check the tutorials then try out some of the scenario's. In the latest development versions of WL the AI players are getting a bit more intelligent and more of a challenge for new players. The main thing is to have fun.

It's always good to see new translators Make sure to have a look at https://wl.widelands.org/wiki/TranslatingWidelands/ before you start translating. If you have any questions, you can post them in our translation forum, or open an issue in the Comments tab on Transifex. Busy indexing nil values
