Hello, from time to time I used to play somme settlers 2 maps in Widelands. When doing the naming correctly this worked fine until Release 18. I Just accidently found out that WL is crashing even when trying to open a directory where a wld or swd file is located. My Question is this a bug or a feature or simply related to my version which is currently 7514. In case that this is not supported anymore there should be an exception instead of just crashing. Best regards Hessenfarmer PS: Tibor thanks for fixing my last reported bug played my savegame until win condition. ![]() ![]() |

It is possible that I have broken something there - I don't have any S2 maps to test this stuff with Busy indexing nil values ![]() ![]() |

Maybe this will help you? http://pccentre.pl/download/download_process/Pobierz/id=499;r=link_pcc First link found on google; download, unzip, find MAPS folder and try to use by Widelands. Probably changing the names (.MAP to .map or backwards) will be needed

Sorry, but i don't know if this a valid task to spend much time on..... Settlers II is really old and widelands has his own map editor. There are also a lot of maps available for widelands. ![]() ![]() |

Let's see how difficult this is first - if it can be fixed without too much effort, there is no harm in doing it. If fixing it is a big problem, we should remove the code completely. Busy indexing nil values ![]() ![]() |
