hi i translated 800 words and 300 strings into arabic then i uploaded them again to launchpad after the upload is finished launchpad told me in a msgbox : Thank you for your upload. It will be automatically reviewed in the next hours. If that is not enough to determine whether and where your file should be imported, it will be reviewed manually by an administrator in the coming few days. You can track your upload's status in the Translation Import Queue iam clueless in launchpad and i need to know what is that means? who well be Reviewing them ? an admin in launchpad itself ? or an widelands Developer ? ![]() ![]() |

I take from your description that you did not use the launchpad web tool to translate. Is this correct? What process did you use to translate and where did you 'upload' the files (.po files, I guess?). No worries, we will figure this out. If everything else fail we can still manually add your .po files into widelands. However, we much prefer if you use the web tool from launchpad in the future - then absolutely no labor is involved to get your strings into widelands. Ps: I also took the freedom to delete your double posts. Edited: 2013-10-05, 21:35

I share your opinion of the launchpad tool not being excellent. However, offline translation seems to be too much to ask from most people. Launchpad gives us very strong drive by translation contributions - and we are very glad about them. btw, the arabic translations saw some updates. Are those your contributions? https://translations.launchpad.net/widelands/trunk/+lang/ar ![]() ![]() |

It always takes a bit for Launchpad to verify the translations after upload. The will appear after a while, unless there is a problem with the file. Busy indexing nil values ![]() ![]() |

Great, so it took a time to get there, but now your translations are showing. Now, if you or someone you know could program LTR support into Widelands, that would be really great :). I guess it is hard to get right for someone who has no idea how it should look. ![]() ![]() |
