Hi developers, today I've tried the latest daily build of Widelands but it does not run on my MacBook Pro M4 with MacOS 15.6.1 (24G90), see attached screenshot. Do you have any solution for this issue? Tried versions: MacOS 15 64-bit ARM Release / MacOS 15 64-bit ARM Debug Best regards, Dillinger

Update: I've now again downloaded the official release 1.2.1 ( for MacOS X 14.0 and newer, ARM (Apple Silicon), 64-bit / Disk Image / 9cce9fb3c55641f670a82a45b1a39e1f). This now is also not working - same error occures! Any idea? I also could offer testing any fixed version. Just let me know. Thanks in advance! ![]() ![]() |

Have you tried the hints described in our download page? Apple puts a quarantine flag on unsigned apps downloaded via a browser (it seems you were using safari to do so). So you either need to remove this flag or use a direct downloader. ![]() ![]() |

Hi Hessenfarmer, thanks for that hint. Formerly there was a message that the software is not coming from a trusted source or anything like that. But then I was able to go to settings an choose "nevertheless open the app". In that case it sounded as if it an error. I was able to fix it via command line (bash): xattr -cr /Applications/Widelands.app Thanks again! ![]() ![]() |
