Meanwhile I decided about the second rounds map. it will be "Together we're strong". I produced a version with a river in the middle seggragating the start continent and uploaded it in a new version of my Naval tournament 2023 maps addon. However I am unsure whether it is still balanced with these modifications and whether you might love to use the original one from our shipped maps. So I'd like to start a poll until all players replied or august 27th , which map to use. (addon or original)

If it is balanced enough, it'll be ok for me. I think Calvisson isn't actually that much balanced, exept if all players use the same tribe. With barbarians I had lots of trouble to get trees to grow and the solution - iron for more shovels - was pretty far away.

well, most of our maps are not equally balanced for different tribes. Choosing the tribe is the first and most crucial move for a match.

@stormax-e: Thank you for the feedback. As announced, I committed the current tournament version to flathub beta, so you can update your install ( I don't know how familiar you are with flatpak, so some explanation: If you update the beta while the corresponding test build is installed, then it should only download a few kilobytes, and reuse (hard-link) the files from it. So removing the test afterwards will not save place immediately, only after later updates. But having it around would prevent installing another test build.

It's still possible to reach the other side on land with a castle. You should make the mountain terrain wider to prevent it.
