2019-06-05, 18:55 UTC+2.0 Our usual Debian packager didn't have any time for this release, so I opened a bug with Debian asking them to update. I can't find it now though. Busy indexing nil values Top Quote |

2019-06-06, 17:09 UTC+2.0 I'm running Debian testing (Buster, soon to become the new release (10)), but I compile from source if I want to use a new Widelands release or trunk. The bug is at https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=928325 . If I understand Debian's release and packaging processes well, this is what needs to happen:

Runs fine, on both Stretch and Buster.
Yes, that is the correct way. It would not be overly difficult to build a x86-64 .deb package for buster and self-host that at web page. The correct way happens when it happens, a self-build package could be online tomorrow. And after that, one could of course self-build for stretch, too. And why not do i386, ARM32, ARM64 etc (I guess this is a long list). I am not suggesting this, but if lack of an easy install path is a problem for the tournament or so, there are doors that could be opened. Top Quote |

2019-07-24, 19:24 UTC+2.0 I just noticed that Buster (Debian 10) is out. The update program though just installed 9.9, guess there's a lag or something. Does Widelands 20 exist for Debian 10? -- Top Quote |

2019-07-24, 19:42 UTC+2.0 Looks like the debian packegers doesn't updated the package fur Debian 10: https://packages.debian.org/buster/widelands But you can compile yourself .... Top Quote |

One can also download random binaries from the internet, and hope that they work right and contain no malware. Top Quote |
