Hello, Widelands svn5080 win32 crashes while playing at some yet unreproduceable situations. Except of one, this was reproduceable in my last savegame it always crashed when pressing space to enable the symbols to where build what. But if pressing the symbol at the bottom for the same function it did not crash. Then I could continue the game, but it again crashed for some other reason. Hello,also bztrunc4986 crashes often. One reason is if Windows update messages pop up. Widelands is in fullscreen mode and looses focusand crashs. Other reasons are while playing. The message expire bug was fixed in bzr-trunk-4995. It affects almost every game which was loaded from a savegame. I don't why it crashes. There should be a file called stdout.txt which contains the console output of widelands. Perhaps there is something inside it which explains it. ![]() ![]() |

I'm not sure if there is a newer binary package for windows. Perhaps a windows packager can say something about it. Otherwise you have to wait for build15rc1 (should come in the not to far future) or build it from the sources. The stdout is from the message expire bug. This is fixed already. All you can do (beside updating) is not playing saved games. I am more interested in the other crashes. They should not happen. ![]() ![]() |

One crash of bztrunc4986 is very simple to reproduce, I did it with Vista several times with a failing update:
This might also happen with other applications bringing themselves to the front. A very stupid thing is also, and I think it has to do with this crash, that you can't change well to another application when Widelands runs in Fullscreen. When pressing ALT+TAB to select another application, you can manage that the other application comes in front, and Widelands flaps down on the task bar. But the mouse is not useable, it always sits in the upper left corner. Itz also needs some luck to go back to Widelands using ALT+Tab again. ![]() ![]() |

Where is build15rc1 download (for Windows)? Otherwise (without any other software popping up in fullscreen mode) Widelands-bzr5013[trunk]-win32.exe runs very very stable, I could now play it without any crashes. But I could observe that an old bug came back, that is that tools which have been made by the smith are transported back nd forth arround the warehouses. And the bakery nd other buildings are complaining that they don't get water, but there is enough water in the warehouses. The same also for some other raw materials. ![]() ![]() |
