# Translating into Spanish ¶

There are two form of translations. ¶

##Using "ustedeo" ¶
**[Spanish]** ¶
"El ustedeo (palabra no registrada en el diccionario de la Real Academia Española) puede referirse al uso formal del pronombre usted para dirigirse a algún interlocutor frente a los familiares tú o vos. Por otra parte,** existe un ustedeo informal que consiste en dirigirse a cualquier interlocutor de usted.**" ¶



##Using "tuteo" ¶

"En gramática el tuteo consiste en el empleo de las formas verbales y pronominales de la segunda persona singular del español: **tú**, en contraposición a vos o usted." ¶



##So...? ¶
There are many strings translated using "ustedeo". ¶
So, for consistency is prefered to translate in "ustedeo" if it's possible. But yYou **SHOULDN'T** use both in the same sentence!!! Using both will cause sentences with no consistency. So, use one and if itor pcosnsiblstency use thone "usof botedeo"h. ¶



###Here an example: ¶

[ENG] Source text: "In this tutorial, you will learn what option Widelands offers to adjust your economy. Recommended for players with some experience." ¶


[SPA] Translation with inconsistency: "En este tutorial, aprenderá (ustedeo) las opciones que Widelands le ofrece (ustedeo) para ajustar tu (tuteo) economía. Recomendado para jugadores con poca experiencia." ¶


Don't do that! ¶
The correct form in this case is to use "ustedeo" along the sentence to avoid inconsistency, or use only "tuteo". See it below: ¶

[SPA] Correct translation with "ustedeo": "En este tutorial, aprenderá (ustedeo) las opciones que Widelands le ofrece (ustedeo) para ajustar su (ustedeo) economía. Recomendado para jugadores con poca experiencia." ¶

[SPA] Correct translation with "tuteo": "En este tutorial, aprenderás (tuteo) las opciones que Widelands te ofrece (tuteo) para ajustar tu (tuteo) economía. Recomendado para jugadores con poca experiencia." ¶
