Description:
Take to the river to ship your goods throughout your empire.
Hint:
Gold is scarce. It can only be found in small quantities in the sandbars and mountains.

I just finished this map 5 minutes ago and haven't had a chance to play it. It's a smaller variation on the meandering river concept I uploaded a while ago.

This is a very nice map. I prefer smaller maps, so I like the size too. I have few suggestions though. The first one is that the map should be for 4 players. I suggest positions 88/166 for yellow and 199/161 for green (I assigned the positions: blue – Empire, red – Atlanteans, yellow – Barbarians, green – Amazons). Who wants to have only 2 players can always leave 2 positions unoccupied. The second suggestion, there are port spaces on places, where should not be any ports possible, I would reduce the number of port spaces anyway. The map has 2 075 port spaces now. I would reduce the number to 120 or even less. Maybe, I would remove few animals too and if the meadow 4 terrain was mixed with meadow 2 and 3, the map would meet my expectations completely. In general, I like the map layout a lot. |

I forgot to mention the ferries. A map like this should probably allow ferries too. Maximum length can be 4 or maybe 5. |

I finished playing through this one yesterday and really enjoyed it. Lots of frontiers to annex and defend. I had to retreat and abandon my first port colony because I got too close without a strong enough military, and it took a while to recover from that.
I need to make more maps around this size (200sx200s); it seems just right for having space to grow an economy, but pressuring you to be ready to meet the enemy soon enough.
