Fertile land can provide all the people with food, but be careful: the mines will not produce ores. Maybe it's time to conquer the sea? Overseas lands will give you needed resources.

The main goal was to create a map where is almost no ores. Instead of that the map has enough resources for short battle. If you want to play longer- you have to reach overseas. There is plenty of ores. All the idea came after a topic https://wl.widelands.org/forum/topic/1572/?page=1#post-11485 came on the forum.

I just played this map with Imperium vs 3 teamed-up AIs. It wasn't to hard, but in ordner to fasten things up I needed to go to the island; not for ore but for coal!
It is a nice map, it is fun to play. As usual for large maps the AIs were not very strong, but it was fun!
