2009-07-21, 18:39 UTC+2.0 I can see that Widelands is available in so many languages, I could help to translate it also into Latin :D Is anyone interested in that ? Vobis saluto, Tiger Top Quote |

2009-07-22, 00:11 UTC+2.0 The problem is, that I don't know much about programming, so I don't know how to implant a latin translation into the game, I just can speak latin enough to translate most of it, I think Top Quote |

2009-07-22, 00:29 UTC+2.0 Take a look at http://wl.widelands.org/wiki/TranslatingWidelands/ - you don't need to know programming, just to grab a program that can eat .po files, get up-to-date empty po files to translate and chug away. If you speak a language Widelands has already been translated into, you can get started by getting a copy of the widelands source (latest SVN version is best, see http://wl.widelands.org/wiki/DownloadPage/ ), going to the subdirectory po/<language> (e.g. po/fr_FR/ for French) and checking out what the .po files in there (and subdirectories) look like. As said, an editor that understands the format for you is a big help; the translation page has a list of a few you can try. If you have any trouble, ask here or the Widelands IRC channel (#widelands on the freenode network). There's web access to the channel at http://wl.widelands.org/webchat/ Top Quote |

2009-08-03, 16:25 UTC+2.0 Thanks for the help, I'm sorry for not answering the last days, I've been on vacation. I'll try the wiki to find a way to translate it into latin, but I don't know whether it works or not, If there is an easier way, like a list of words or something like that :D, It may be easier and faster for me to translate.^^ I'll try a programm first, and 'll write you the resaults Greetings, Grüße, ???????, et Salutes, Tiger Top Quote |
