kaputtnik Topic Opener Joined: 2013-02-18, 20:48 UTC+1.0 Posts: 2683 OS: Archlinux Version: current master One Elder of Players Location: Germany	Posted at: 2018-05-06, 11:21 UTC+2.0 Some words about showing online users and how it depends on the users activity (applies after the fix is online): A user logs out explicitly: Hew will not be shown online anymore A logged in user closes his browsers tab containing the widelands website or closes his browser without logging out: He is shown online to other users for about 30 Minutes A logged in user does not produce a request (e.g. clicking on a link in the website) for 30 minutes: He will not be shown online anymore to other users. The value of 30 Minutes could be adjusted. My decision to use 30 Minutes was just because of the thought: If some one is working on a wiki article, or writes a big post in the forum, he may write sentence after sentence without creating a request to the website for 30 minutes (and thus will not be shown online to other users, although he is still logged in). Based on my own experience, writing a big Post or Wikiarticle can last 30 Minutes. But if you think 30 minutes is to much, we can reduce it Top Quote
