In former iterations of the website we had the ability to translate all pages using a content management system. We only had a decent translation in German, a couple of pages in French - and all were constantly outdated. I do not think the feature was/is worth the trouble - there are just too few non-english speaking community members.

Yes, there are few non-english speaking community members. But how will they come to us if we don't provide them pages in their language ?

I don't know what is the best solution, but we certainly can do something.

Maybe we could go with the description and the download page only?

These two pages are a good starting point. Maybe the game presentation need to be translated too (because it's the first page we see when the arrive on the website).

Just for be clear: if someone do a translation, the translation will be the default page for users with same language? Or with a flag icon?

Cause if it's not directly accessible, it's less interressting.

I don't think it could be directly accessible. An icon flag is the only solution I have found for the moment.

I thought of a statement on top of a page like "This page is also available in: francaise, dutch, german, ..." where the language name is a link to the localized page. Of course icons of flags are also doable.

The content of the main page is hard coded but if you localize it's content to a new wikipage it is no problem to add such links in the main page. Just ask for doing so when you are ready face-smile.png

Ok, I will translate the game presentation on the main page, the description and the dowload page in french, maybe this week-end.

French translation for description => Done.

Flags come from this website, and are resized to 30x20px.
