Hello, It’s been a long time since I last checked in. Back then, I suddenly disappeared from the scene for health reasons. Now, after many years, I’ve finally started making music again since the beginning of the year, and I thought I’d write a song for Widelands as a small apology and to thank you for your great work. It’s finished now—it might have turned out a bit long—but if you like it, feel free to add it to the Widelands music list. It was written specifically for Widelands and is a little inspired by the original Settlers 1 music. I’d also appreciate any feedback, of course. I would like to release the song under CC BY 4.0 (Attribution – Name: “Jan F. Bruns”). You can listen to the song here on YouTube (it’s not publicly listed yet, but I’d like to do that if you don’t have any objections).
