After starting a game, everything runs smoothly and there are no problems. But when we resume our game after a week, we get disconnected every time. One of us plays on a Mac (Arm) and the other on Windows. The disconnections occur with different versions from 1.2X to 1.3RC and 1.3. We got a saved game to work once or twice by changing the connection method from LAN (Zero Tier) to Internet and deleting our installation. What is our problem? When we start a new game, everything works fine. But we can rarely finish our games.

Hi and welcome to the forums,

I am afraid we might need some more information to debug this properly.

  1. I assume the first log is from the Mac and the second one is from the Windows machine. Correct?
  2. How did you obtain Widelands? Did you compile yourself?
  3. Did you use always a savegame from the same version.
  4. Could you provide the complete log? (use "~~~" at the beginning and end to format it like I edited your post)
  5. Could you provide the technical information from "About Widelands" from the main menu for both machines.
  6. Which machine hosted the game in the local network?
  7. do you have the 2 replays for this game?

As we have fixed a desync bug in our recent development. you might try our latest development builds fromour Download page and test whether it fixes your problem.
A point release to 1.3.1 to iuncorporate this bug fix for 1.3.1 is already planned as well.

Hi thank you for your warm welcome,

  1. both are from the windows machine
  2. we both downloaded it from this website or the links provided
  3. we used savegames within the same version and maybe tried to used an old one. The actual log is from the same version!
  4. Thank you for your help formating. 5.
  5. Mainly mac is hosting. When we were desperate we tried also hosting from the windows machine

I can tell now that we are able to play on the new nightly. Maybe due to a reinstallation. I will provide information on point 4 and 5 when the problem occurs again. Presumably next monday.
