hello,

thank you for the game, reliving some nice s2 memories face-smile.png

I just installed v1.1 and would like to play the new campaign scenarios. however i don't have my old savegames. is there a cheat to skip missions? Or perhaps a downloadable savegame with all campaign missions completed?

Kind regards

Hi domino and welcome to the forum face-smile.png

You can skip missions by going to your Widelands home directory and editing the file save/campaigns.conf. Set all entries to true to mark the scenarios as solved. It should look something like this:

# Automatically created by Widelands 1.1 Release

[scenarios]
bar01.wmf="true"
bar02.wmf="true"
atl01.wmf="true"
atl02.wmf="true"
emp01.wmf="true"
emp02.wmf="true"
emp03.wmf="true"
emp04.wmf="true"
fri01.wmf="true"
fri02.wmf="true"
fri03.wmf="true"
fri04.wmf="true"

Note that the Frisian campaigns carry data over from one mission to the next and they will penalize you for skipping scenarios.

I'm getting my ass whooped on newest Frisean scenario #4.

Could someone attach a nearly completed savegame of scenario 3 (Friends in Need)?

Replaying the last one is out of the question. Especially since it also relies on previous mission to carry over iron/weapons.

Cheating? face-wink.png

Locate the file <Widelands home directory>/campaigns/frisians/fri03.wcd and edit it. Here's my own most recent result which gives you an army that can mop up the enemy reasonably easily:

[data]
_0_0="83"
_0_1="2"
_0_2="54"
_1="300"

[keys]
_0="soldiers"
_1="payment"
_0_0="262"
_0_1="131"
_0_2="000"

[type]
_0="table"
_1="number"
_0_0="number"
_0_1="number"
_0_2="number"

[size]
="2"
_0="3"

After editing, start a new fri04 game.

You can experiment with the values to make it easier or harder. The _0_x entries in the keys section are soldier levels (e.g. 262 means health 2 attack 6 defense 2) and the corresponding entries in the data section are how many soldiers of that level you have.
The _1 key tells how much metal the imperial legate got from you.

Very useful! I wanted also to play the scenarios but I have not any savegame. I might use this!
