Hi,

Sometimes I build the Gold Digger. It gets the food and water. It reports the main vein is exhausted. Sometimes I build the Gold Digger. It gets the food and water. It scrubs some gold dust and then reports the main vein is exhausted.

Is there any way to tell before you build the gold digger how much you will get. I remember (it's been years since I last played) there used to be a geologist for the mining empires, do the Amazonians have something similar?

Cheers,

Geo

Yes they have a geologist as well. and the mechanism is exactly the same as for other tribes.

Ah ok, thanks. I must have missed it. Also IIRC the other tribes dug wells for water but the AZs draw theirs from the sea is that correct?

I like the fact that they need chocolate drinks instead of beer/wine, my daughter is gonna love that.

yes, exactly they need open water to find water, and they need a lot of it. so not every map is well suited for them.

It's the amount of shoreline that counts right? They don't swim into the lakes.

Correct. But lakes/rivers/sea can never be depleted, so a single accessible node of shore nearby is enough for a water gatherer.

(IIRC, "shore" in this context is defined as being adjacent to at least one triangle which is surrounded by 6 water triangles – so 1 tile wide streams don't count.)
