Personally it rather makes me laugh. But I can imagine very well the face that a newcomer can make who wants answers in order to play as quickly as possible. He will never come back to the forum. Believe that I regret it. Since I frequent the forums, my main goal has always been to bring people together, some to question, others to answer. Look at my signature and you will see that sharing knowledge is one of my most powerful motivations. But I haven't yet come up with the great idea that will solve all of this. I hope that at least someone else has this idea and shares it. I took up the motto of "Charles le Téméraire": La connaissance ne vaut que si elle est partagée par le plus grand nombre. |

The Wesnoth forum is also useless when it comes to searching. It is set to ignore many search terms (always the ones you will use most) so that I was forced to use a web search engine with the site:wesnoth.org command to get useful searches done. This may also work here. i.e. site:widelands.org -- |

BTW there are also the tips in data/txts/tips/ which are shown during loading and in the encyclopedia. These are even translatable. Though it only has basic tips currently. If there was a wiki page, the two should be kept in sync. Edited: 2021-04-26, 10:40

I just have a look at the wiki. La connaissance ne vaut que si elle est partagée par le plus grand nombre. |
