on the "home" page stands something about random map, but where can you play a random map? "Scratch any cynic and youll find a disappointed idealist."

Hi LennStar, you need to open the editor via main menu (or via directly running "widelands --editor"). In the editor's main menu select "new random map", set the parameters in the popup window and click "okay" - once the map was generated you just need to place starting positions, save the map and afterwards select it as map in your game.
