I am just working on the amazon translations. As they are desigend to be women I would use the feminine version for their workers and soldiers. Any thoughts on this?

Ok I'll go for it then. However I beleive that bug https://github.com/widelands/widelands/issues/4490 is currently standing a bit in the way.

I'll start with the tribe specific translations then until this gets fixed

At all translators,
please keep in mind the above mentioned gender of the amazons. If possible use female descriptions, verbs and prenoms for them.

I implemented it this way for german and started the spanish translation

Ok, I'll review the french texts.

At least hungarian does not have this problem… face-smile.png I can't understand why grammatical gender even exists in other languages…

I have done some minimal work on the French tranlsations.

I think pretty much every occurence of "Soldier" is tranlsated by "Soldats" which would imply that there is at least one man in the group. "Soldates" is not a word that is used often, but it would fit better.

The thing is, I can change it when i see an occurence, and i intend to give some time to translations, but i won't actively look for each occurence right now. Should i do it when i see one, or is consistency in the names more important, untill I or a couple of people decide to invest the time to change them all/most of them?
