I would be up for a tournament, but I don't have time then. However, nice that you want to organize a tournament. By the way, they are usually some weeks long. And soon we will have the release candidate for build20, which could use some testing, as well as build20 afterwards. Wanted to save the world, then I got widetracked Top Quote |

AH, did read this just now, but actually took Part in some big 4vs4 Game I would like to take part, but need some 2 weeks of time to find a time slot. Please consider testing some new R20 features via the tournament, too. Here are the widelands where people may dwell, walking around care that evrythings well. Top Quote |

Oh really? When will be the next one?
I think that 2 weeks per turn is rather too long... But maybe there is a solution. What about more flexibility in a tournament? If everybody plays one time against any other participant, it's not necessary to wait for other matches. On the other hand this could be bad for the tension. Edited: 2019-04-23, 19:29

I'm thinking of starting when we have a final build 20. not sure what's the difference between a release candidate and a final build. and I will use my usual format.
First problem with that, if we are 15 people, asking everyone to play 14 games is too much. A similar solution was used in the 2015 tournament, where there was a preliminary phase with 2 subrounds with 5 teams and each team had to play against the other 4. And it actually took longer. There were some games that were just never played. The way I do it, there is a fixed time limit, and above that limit the game is declared 0-0. Everyone knows exactly how many games he'll play and when he'll play. Edited: 2019-04-24, 01:24
