To Participate in a training game to get used to the Naval warfare feature just join the lobby on sunday evening at around 19:30you need to use the following development version to have the naval warfare feature Installers at https://github.com/widelands/widelands/releases/tag/Tournament2023

Also Be prepared for crashes though… There are already 2 identified segfaults with open PRs, but I think some of our crashes were caused by different bugs. I'm trying to set up RelWithDebInfo now to have both normal speed and usable backtraces. Unfortunately I'm unlikely to be able to participate, both on Sunday and in the tournament.

With today's fixes we were able to continue our test game. We played for an hour (real / 2h game) without any more crashes. There's a hung naval battle though. If it's not too late, you should consider moving the tag and playing today with this version. Temporary flatpak test build is at: |

The savegame from the battle royale we want to continue today fails to load due to a bug. I created a PR to address the problem: https://github.com/widelands/widelands/pull/5989 We will need to use the patched version to be able to continue playing. Should I move the Tournament2023 tag when the PR is merged?

we should move the Tournamant tag as far as we reasonably can to have as many bugs fixed as possible. Only this might bring us in position to find new ones during the tournament. I would say for final training we should fix the tag for the first round about a week before the tournamant starts. Edited: 2023-07-04, 13:29

When i delete a Ship in singleplayer, the game crash.

I assume that's the same bug as https://github.com/widelands/widelands/issues/5965 which was fixed recently. I now moved the Tournament2023 tag to the latest commit with all recent bugfixes. Updated binaries are currently building and should be ready in an hour or so.
