Topic: Highlighte specific buildings on the minimap?

In my last game playing on the very big map Magic Mountain i came to a situation where i had to explore a very big area of the map to find the next opponent. So i explored my territory to different directions, placing here and then a warehouse. The plan was now to connect those warehouses with short ways, so in the end there will be roads like a spiders web to give the game logic a possibility to send wares and soldiers in a short time between those warehouses.. My problem was, also with zooming out a lot, also with the help of the buildings statistics menu, to find those warehouses which i want to connect. Then this idea came to my mind:

What if one can highlight specific buildings (like all warehouses) within the minimap?

If this was possible the time i played the game, finding routes through the map for connecting those warehouses would have been much easier.

Are there other solutions for my problem?
How could this be achieved?
