With the amount of cruft now being posted by multiplayer threads, whether tournaments, leagues or some wierd chess thing, would it be an idea to have a forum for these posts? Preferably with the option to mute them in the latest posts list. I seems that over half the posts are about when to play and most of the rest are about rules and maps. As far as I am concerned relying on some moron for my gaming pleasure is just about the worst way to play any game and even worse is watching a replay of someone else playing a game. The fact that from 10's of thousands of installs only about a dozen people seem interested in multiplayer is a good reason to shuffle these posts into their own corner. Top Quote |

Creating a new forum in the Player Forums can be easily done. Muting some forums or threads so they do not show up in the latest post box isn't easy. I wonder why this is needed at all: Many threads are created in the wrong forum (including this one, which i would expect to be in the Homepage forum ). So muting a specific forum will probably result in overseeing some threads. Do you want a Multiplayer Forum without option to mute it? Fight simulator for Widelands: |

Would it be feasible to create a forum for code development in the Widelands Development category? There's no place where discussions directly related to coding C++, scripting Lua, and other dev stuff that is not of interest to non-developing players really belongs. Top Quote |

Do you want one forum for all or different forums for C++, Lua and others? How should it/they be named? Fight simulator for Widelands: |

I think one forum for all kinds of coding and scripting stuff would be enough. Name: Top Quote |

+1 for one development forum. I would not be opposed to a multiplayer forum, which could then be used for organizing tournaments and meeting up. "Playing Widelands" could then be for strategy tips etc. Busy indexing nil values Top Quote |

Here you are: Coding & Scripting I did not added a Multiplayer/Tournaments forum so far, because there was no clear consensus about it. Fight simulator for Widelands: |
