As Widelands gets bigger and better, the (daily) download is nearly 100Mb. I notice that a large percentage of this is music, and I wonder if it would it be practical to omit the music from the Unofficial development Builds. ![]() ![]() |

Or to have a "basic package" or something that includes the game data as it is in the latest official build and the pullable source only includes any files changed or added from that point. I thought about that, too. But I don't know if it is technically possible or easy to do. But it would surely decrease traffic for many people. ![]() ![]() |

I've excluded the music from my win32 bzr builds, this shrinks the size to ~40MB. You can just download the music as seperate archive if you want. ![]() ![]() |
