I have vacant ranger houses or farms. How do I increase the number of rangers or farmers ? My game is well developed as I have 613 carriers, 45 soldiers, 11 lumberjacks, 9 master miners, but only 8 rangers and 6 farmers. I have 1392 logs and 152 wheat in stock. Does that prevent more rangers and farmers ? Edited: 2019-06-12, 20:23

Welcome in the forum
By building a toolsmith who creates tools. Many new workers need tools. You can set economy settings of tools to zero, then the smith will only produce tools which are needed currently.
No, but this a lot, so you do not really need more rangers, and for some time not more farmers neither. Edited: 2019-06-12, 20:31

I think the barbarian toolsmith is called "metal workshop", but it may have been renamed in the last build. To work, the toolsmith needs iron ingots and logs. You clearly have logs; in case you miss iron, you need a smelting works and both coal and iron ore. Coal and iron ore are generated from coal mines and iron mines, using rations produced in the tavers from meat. Top Quote |

Thank you for your answers. They solved my situation. My problem was that I had upgraded all my metal workshops to ax workshops, that do not make basic tools (shovel, scythe,...). And so the needed tools were never made. Edited: 2019-07-03, 20:37
