WorldSavior should have a winner belt of Widelands now!
He showed his best on this game! You can download replays here: wuatek.no-ip.org/~rak/widelands/WorldSavior_Einstein_Revenge.zip
So what were my mistakes?
- Long time of wood problem
- Not enough thinking about iron and coal (at the beginning)
- Beer problem ( )
- Grain (farm) problem
And when I finally cope with all of those problems, I spot WorldSavior. Then I tried to make my best to win with him, but I made huge mistake: I haven't noticed that all my coal mines aren't working at all! I had (new to me) miners problem. After 30 minutes (I estimate that, not checked) I have noticed this problem and I have fixed that. But it was too late to make any big difference. So I lost all other things.
Even this, I feel also a winner: I established a working soldiers economy in the shortest time on this map. Unfortunatelly the rest wasn't ready, so after a while I spot some errors and warnings.
For me it was a great game! I enjoyed it much, even I lost with him. Thanks, World, for playing! Looking towards to your game with king! If you win with him too, I propose to have a union with king against you We have to save the world from YOU!
And some words about the map:
There are major differences between v1 and v2 of The Nile map. I thought there would be almost none, but they are. On v1 you expand much slower and I don't know exactly why. I could play for 4 hours of gametime and haven't spot the enemy. Here I spot WorldSavior after about 2 hours. It is quite fast. Also mountain pass is wider. For sure it makes more possibilities to make there an economy which I don't like.
I could change the map, but I will not do that. Why? Because it would be not fair to all of players who likes that! In the future I will fix 2 things on the map, because they are bugs:
- red player don't have coal on the 4th mountains in both directions
- there is one place where barbarians can't expand because of far distance between "sand islands"
