In the last windows-svn-builds (4982/4986) the computer players are no longer increasing their land. So playing wl is like shooting elephants from the helicopter.

I've noticed this problem too.

In addition, it won't let me defeat the enemy headquarters. I killed all the soldiers, but my soldiers continue to just dance around outside as though still fighting, but there's nobody left for them to fight against...

(I'm new here - is there a way to attach the savefile to this forum post? Alternatively, bug-fixers are welcome to email me if they want me to send them the file.)

P.S. The tutorials worked fine (as far as I could tell).

Bugs can be posted at the Widelands Bugtracking Site (Sourceforge http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=40163&atid=427221 ), there you can also attach savegames and other files.

I have noticed this also, but only for barbarians tribe.

Thanks QCS, I've posted the bug here: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2935673&group_id=40163&atid=427221

(I hope someone notices and fixes it -- this seems like a serious one!)

I've also just noticed this - I modded some worlds and tribes, but just for the scientific test mode I used a clean install ... soldiers defeated but no building conquest.

I have checked all the military sites in the global folder, and ensured that tribe config files make reference to all these buildings ... nada.

Anyone any ideas on this yet?

Adam.

I've just played a game in svn5018 as Atlantean with two Empire opponents. Both expanded properly (confirming Raistware's observation that the expansion bug only plagues barbarian AIs). I could conquer military buildings, and even destroyed the yellow AI's headquarters. But my attack on the second AI's headquarters was buggy (no conquest, attacking soldiers just stand around outside). Very puzzling!

Hi pixnaps!

I have observed the bug you say that sometimes soldiers keep at enemy building's flag and wait indefenitely. I am trying to get time to debug that and find what is the problem. Any recent savegame should help.

Cheers.

I downloaded and tried build 5108 (thanks Tino) - the bug is still there with a completely fresh install.

Where is the computer player AI stored? Is it actually in the game files themselves, or somewhere in the tribe/world config files (not that I have seen anything in the latter)

Cheers, Spice.
