Ubuntu 10.4? very strange - I just read that 9.04 alpha6 is out Anyway normally translation in Build13 and newer builds should work fine under ubuntu. If not, the following link perhaps might help: Link to ubuntuusers.de wiki Edited: 2009-03-15, 22:19

So did the link help? If yes, how did you do it? What Version of Widelands are you running? It would be very nice, if you could explain all these points, so others can find help to Cheers Nasenbaer Top Quote |

I'd installed it with a systemtool in german it's called "hinzufügen/entfernen" and there you can only download the build 11 The informations in the link didn't worked but now i'm installing the newest build I'll tell you if it's working with the new build and sorry for my bad english ^^ Top Quote |

Hey! I´ve got the same problem. build 13 OS: Kubuntu 8.10 The link didn´t help. Wideland overwrite all changes in the config-file. EDIT: Problem solved! Start the game in a xterm Edited: 2009-03-16, 20:39

hi ! having the same problem in french. (ubuntu 8.04, build 13 from svn). i followed the link and changed fr_FR to fr_FR.utf8 but as mentionned before by Mendes, this gets overwritten each time widelands is started. also tried to start it from a xterm (instead of gnome-terminal) but it didn't bring anything, it's stuck in english...
