Hmmm

I can't speak for fraang, but as a graphician for Widelands, I'm interested in what our community members think and feel about the look of things in our game. So don't hesitate to speak up if something doesn't sit right with you or you feel it could be improved. I want to hear it. Widelands is OUR project and we try to take everyone's input into account. I would add that there is a standing invitation to anyone who wishes to contribute work as well as ideas. There is a lot of opportunity to get involved. Whether it's proposing new features in the game, providing artwork, music, sounds or coding. All is welcome and will be considered for use in the game. Interested? Thanks for obliging me. The designs are great! I favor the logo with the L offset from center (i.e. the one on the right). However, I'm uncomfortable with the material on the model. I think it should look more organic or natural, e.g. stone and wood. Can you explore/experiment a little with that? There may be some materials already used in some of our existing blender models that you could use. Let me know if I can point you to or provide any to you. Edited: 2015-02-11, 16:36

Hm, I must admit that I like the logo the way it is seen in the windows desktop icon: L centered to W, with the upper serif at the same place as the serif of the middle bar of the W...

Instead of putting the L slightly to the left, i would like to see it more to the right. Could you try that? Two is the oddest prime.

The full sized current logo is at 'pics/wl-ico-128.png'. It is a piece of art - will be art to do better with a 3d model I think. But I believe in you :).

If this is in any way helpful: the widelands.ttf includes a scaleable vector version of the current WL logo. It should be located at the # char if i remember correctly (not on my PC right now)

First glance: Great! Second... Hmmm I remember one logo:
differs from that of the Widelands font. Perhaps the web logo's W could be modeled for comparison.
