I am going through the strings and I noticed a terminology inconsistency - we have both "hitpoints" and "healthpoints" in the source files. Which one do we want? Personally, I don't care either way. FYI, the translation dictionaries use "hitpoints", the wiki manual uses "healthpoints". Busy indexing nil values ![]() ![]() |

I prefer health points. Or simply health? ![]() ![]() |

I don't care Hitpoints or Healthpoints or health.. But I like body parts system more than Hitpoints or Healthpoints or health system.. (I found body parts system in Dwarf Fortress) ![]() ![]() |

A body parts system would be a bit over the top IMO, because this isn't a war game but mainly a builder game. I like "health", because it is consistent with "attack", "evade" etc. where we don't add "points" to the word. Edited: 2014-02-24, 20:57

In Dwarf Fortress are Hit/heath points too. But they are hidden under the whole system. You have to destroy all the parts of the body to kill someone @GunChleoc: Your idea sounds logic too einstein13 ![]() ![]() |

Neither "hitpoints" nor "healthpoints" are words. I am not sure how accurately "health" translates to other languages in the context it is meant for. I would expect that "hit points" would be more universally understood, considering that the audience are people who play computer games. WARNING: New-style view packet not found. You can still translate these as best fits your language. If something similar to "hitpoints" works better in your language, no problem Busy indexing nil values ![]() ![]() |
