Hi, I like to see a map preview, but don't know how. I see that if you upload a map, then you got a nice preview of the map. How can I do that.

Do you mean in the game, or elsewhere?

Regardless, this bug report is probably relevant (see SirVer's description of previews in the first comment).

I have a lot of maps (818) and there are some maps I like to rework. Now I have to load the maps into the Widelands Editor, to see how the map looks like. If I could see the map preview in explorer, or some program, it would be a lot easier to decide which map to rework.

So, I mean in a program. I tried a lot of image view programs, but no program recognise the file, so no preview.

Well, there is no program that can do this, sorry. The website contains Python code that can do it though. The code you need to run is here: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~widelands-dev/widelands-website/trunk/view/head:/widelandslib/map.py#L235.

This is not a finished program though and you will need to write a few lines of python to glue it together....
