I have started creating a map using the map editor from build16.

However I now can no longer load the map into the editor. I get an Error message titled "Game data error".

The description starts with "allowed worker types: players 2" and ends with "[player 2] not found".

The map can be found at http://pholia.tdi.informatik.uni-frankfurt.de/~philipp/widelands/ as "Lesser ring.wmf".

Unfortunately I do not have a backup. Can this map be recovered? If yes, how?

Philipp

Edit: As of 29th february of 2012, the link above no longer points to a broken map.

I just found the "A bug when using the Map Editor of Widelands?" thread, and tried the solution proposed there "delete allowed_worker_types", but it didn't work:

unzip Lesser\ Ring.wmf

rm Lesser\ Ring.wmf

zip "Lesser Ring.wmf" *

gives me a file that results in an widelands crash with an error message:

Reading Elemental Data ... done!

Reading Player Names And Tribe Data ... done!

Reading Heights Data ... terminate called after throwing an instance of 'ZipOperation_error'

what(): ZipFilesystem::Load: could not open file from zipfile (working on 'binary/heights' in zipfile '/home/philipp/.widelands/maps/Lesser Ring.wmf')

Abgebrochen

It does. Thanks! Upon loading I get some warnings, but after a save and reload they are gone.
