Well, I didn’t try out in the game, just looked at the files, but the contrast seems too weak. Did you try working with black lines to get better contours?

I did - with these - and the ones before. 1 Pixel already makes to thick a line - plus you can't antialias and get those stairs face-sad.png

I’m not sure, whether those „stairs“ would be that annoying. I mean, these icons are very small, at least with a high resolution… But the trend is to big screens, anyway. face-wink.png

I've taken a try at the ingots, too, rendering them from 3D models. Here is a comparison of Astuur's (A) and mine (B)
ingots

Comments?

In front of the white background I would go for the (B) variant, though this may just be an artefact of the contrast as was mentioned before.

Chuck, can you give us a link for the .png download? I'd like to see them in game - and in all worlds.

Happy to oblige, Astuur! face-smile.png
iron ingot 24x24 "menu"
iron ingot 10x10 "idle"
iron ingot 145x145 original
gold ingot 24x24 "menu"
gold ingot 10x10 "idle"
gold ingot 145x145 original

We could probably enlarge the idle images to 13x13 without too much distraction.

To accommodate you and those who do not have access to launchpad, here is a link to a terrain palette of all worlds
;)

EDIT: I have discovered the palette file was not stored in its original dimension of 1092x1579. I'll try a different approach. Meanwhile I suggest getting the palette(s) from launchpad if you can. face-confused.png

EDIT2: I have changed the link to the largest image available on Flickr 708x1024

These are a little closer to the original size. Flickr puts a cap on file size.
greenland terrain original size: 1090x337
desert terrain original size: 1090x337
blackland terrain original size: 1090x447
winterland terrain original size: 1090x447

Hopefully these swatches will be useful.

Here are samples in 13x13:

gold_ingot_13x13
(I don't THINK Flickr altered these.) face-smile.png
