The good news? Phase 1 is complete.
The bad news? To avoid overlapping the road, I had to shift the second log pile.
The other good news? There's enough room for that.

Once 1.0 is out, you should look into repositioning the builder. Repositioning the road to the building would also be good (more room for larger buildings), but would probably be more complex.

EDIT: Once again, you'll have to fiddle with the hotspots to make it line up -- probably more this time than last time.

From the PR:

The ladder on the right get covered by some logs in the second construction step:

This happens because of the way Widelands blits build animations; first the last completed phase is drawn and then a portion of the current phase is drawn on top of it. Do you want to adjust this or should we have it like this?

(Btw the deadline for all changes for 1.0 is the evening before release candidate day, german time – i.e. 12 hours from now)

I thought it would erase the appropriate part of the previous step; if it was one-quarter done, I thought it would show the bottom quarter of the current step and the top three quarters of the previous step. If I knew it wasn't that way I would have skipped the ladder and mini-logs (which I will erase if I can find the time).

EDIT: If you get a chance, please check if the empire barracks has the same issue (it probably does). If so, the only answer may be to remove the first construction phase for now.

At long last, the endless rendering and assembling is finally over (I hope).

Updated the PR face-smile.png

The empire barracks is fine at a quick look, it looks like the equipment is simply obscured behind the new walls

Good, good.

I think I'll take a break from Widelands for a few days, then resume making HD buildings. If someone's up for LUA (and has a way of snipping off part of a map) I may also return to making a fan campaign, Chat'kurath's Ascension.

And if I feel extra-ambitious, I can even return to working on Resdillia/Monarchy, a tribe based on medieval Europe.
