Due to some recent questions:
Peaceful mode is allowed for the tournament matches if both players agree on that. It is neither forbidden by the rules nor is it enforced.

Another clarification:
In the wincondition script it is possible to win the game by having 10 heroes or by defeating the opponent. Both is a win according to the rules. (if one player is defeated the other surely will have the 10 heroes first). Playing in peaceful mode will ensure that the primary wincondition will be fulfilled.

Here's the replay of my match against Teayo. I won in about 2 hours and 40 minutes.

EDIT: I'm unable to add attachments, so I uploaded the file:

Well, you need only one more post to be able to upload. For the moment and for those interested here is the replay

For the next time it would nice if you could announce your final playtime for spectators.

I just had a quick look at the replay... I don't think the starting positions were balanced. How could this happen? The map editor shows 8 balanced starting positions with a big forest next to the headquarters.

We also had a strange behavior at the beginning... I couldn't see any arrow for placing my headquarters until we decided to start a new game. I'm not sure if I just missed them (I think they are too small anyway), but maybe it's a bug?

EDIT: I uploaded the replay of this (very short) first match in case it's of any help for developers.

EDIT2: I think I understood the "choose position" feature now. You can put your headquarters in many places, not only at the predefined positions. That explains why Teayo was somewhere in the middle.

There's still one problem: You can only see valid positions if the building aid is switched off. As I usually have it turned on, I failed to understand the feature when exploring it in the past. I randomly clicked on green buildings without success and then came to the conclusion that you can only use the predefined positions. Maybe you can just disable the building aid while choosing positions to make it easier to understand?

Sorry about that. I think we just forgot... I'll do so next time.

Watching this game is real fun.
1. Teayo chose a custom starting position. As I did not exclude this it is allowed. Although I will add a rule that both players need to agree on this feature before the match. (I simply forgot about this feature but I am glad it was tested anyway)
2. Teayo build up a very nice and strong economy. However it seems he tried to solve his lack of coal by building more forester / woodcutters, costing him more coal for the tools.
3. genuez managed a nice build as well but tried to not waste any metal or coal.
4. When his training kicked in he managed to disguise his real strength by accumulating as much level 9 soldiers as he could before bringing them to the last upgrade.

All in all very well played, i really look forward for the next matches to watch.
