I would have no problem with playing every tribe, but I don't like the map. imho the game is more fun if one can extract coal from mines. And shouldn't fighting also be tested? ; )

Plus, on the map you have little space and have to rely on long shipping routes

I just wanted to share my experience. I tried on my own and Amazons even don’t have to build a port and can easily win in less then 2 hours. As for me, joining the tournament would be logistically complicated but I hope, everyone who take part will like it. I like the idea of having coal shortage. I have also designed few maps, where coal is a bottleneck.

Ok the idea has been to make this an economical challenge rather then a military one. Fighting was made non essential but not forbidden. The setup with no coal was chosen due to a recent forum discussion.
However if this would increase participation I would not be reluctant to change the map for the tournament. What if we take a medium sized map with medium contact but more land and keep the wc and the no coal setup? any suggestion for such a map?

I think my map Greenland Melting can work well, but it is just a suggestion. I would leave the resources as it is and suggest the red against orange combination. But you can test also other combinations. Should be balanced, but in case of multiplayer, you never know.

well grey vs. yellow could work on this map if we remove the starting coal from it. I could imagine letting the opponents choose their starting position as well. So we may play on a version of this map without coal as well or instead of the other map.

I see the grey blue combination as balanced as well. In case of grey yellow, I think yellow may have a small disadvantage because the empty starting positions are little bit more far away in comparison with grey. But if the starting positions are too close, there could be a risk of winning even without 10 heroes. The goal was to find a map with more space, more contact and some coal. So question is whether WorldSavior will like it.

I've taken a look at the map and I like that there is a lot of good space. However I didn't study the map closely and as I'm not the organizer of the tournament I don't chose the tournament map
