Sometimes you want to track goods cycles. Do you know that too? For example, the first iron to be mined. The problem: You can't find it or you lose it because it's just tiny. One can also rarely see which goods are on a flag. Would it be the easiest to simply enlarge it or would it make sense to revise it, something like with Siedler 2? But enlarging it would do quite well.

  1. How was it in Settlers II?
  2. I believe this is an issue related with screen resolution. They are quite big in 800x600 and very tiny in Hd or even 4k. so if we make them big enough to be identifiable in 4k they would be huge in lower res. I don't know whether it would be possible to have different sizes for different resolutions.

Sometimes it is of interest. But i didn't think it's an issue of the size of goods, but of following them and should somehow be integrated in a watchwindow. E.g. adding an additional button "Try to Follow ware". But this can be problematic if several wares are on the road and trying to start following something, e.g. a soldier, is difficult at all right now.

Its not an Issue of screen resolution, hessenfarmer, like many Items you can select are to small. Maybe try following the ware coal, its impossible as it is really very small : D for following wares settlers 2 were at about 2-3 the size, for example wood, you could really see on which flag it is without doing lot of searching.

Well a watchwindow is just another window, mabye a good solution - but the aim is to generate a good feeling while playing. And if you see your first Iron entering the smithys and the village with semlters its very important that you can see this ware.

In 1024x768 (screen resolution) you can see them very well. Same as if you zoom in. Can't remember how they looked in S2 though. Anyway this is hard to compare as in the old times we never had more then 1024x768.

Maybe you can show it with a screenshot, wares like Iron, Coal and bread are really very small. In times of moving forward a 1024x768 screen is more in the past whilst 4k more in the future, so maybe we can adapt the size.

I just searched for some screenshots of S2. Indded the wares there were a little bit bigger. ( I guess perhaps 120% of our size). What I doubt is that this would really help on 4k screens. So I would take this on the list of issues for 4k support. (a lot of them have already been identified).
Although I agree on the fact that we should aim at 4k screens, we currently (amd probably in the future as well) are very few people in the graphics development. Furthermore we still support 800x600 officially and some of the blender models which are necessary for creating the graphics are lost afaik. So please do not expect any solutions on that very soon (if at all).

Of course some changes cant be done, thats no problem. Maybe double sizing everything is not that much work or in the options there could be a menu "size" or "adapt to screen resolution". 800x600 to 1920x1080 is also a big step. Currently i dont find any solution to fix this other than in the display settings and if you change that the pixels look a bit not sharpend, it just looks not nice. But following the wares is important, any Idea of other pathways.
